9/11 Remembrance: Honoring First Responders & Encouraging Self-Care

By September 11, 2025No Comments2 min read

Today marks the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001 – a day that forever changed our nation. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost, and thousands of first responders, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and everyday citizens put themselves in harm’s way to save others.

At Float8, we honor those who ran toward danger that day, and those who continue to serve our communities every day. The courage, strength, and resilience of first responders inspire us – and remind us that even heroes need time to recover.

As we share on our First Responder resource page:

“Scheduling appointments for your own self-care is critical to your work performance, as well as your mental and physical health. Learn how booking floatation sessions can help you relax, recover and reset, so you can ensure you are always ready and alert for your important work.”

Floatation therapy offers first responders and shift workers a sanctuary to:

  • Recover physically: Relieve muscle tension, reduce lactic acid, and decrease inflammation.
  • Calm the mind: Lower cortisol, reduce anxiety, and improve mental clarity.
  • Improve performance: Enhance focus, promote better sleep, and restore balance so you’re always ready to serve.

And as a small way of saying thank you, Float8 always offers 25% off single services for first responders.

Today, we invite you to reflect, remember, and – if you are a first responder – prioritize your own well-being. Floating can be part of that path toward recovery and resilience.
